Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic marketing and communication specialist to lead our marketing efforts for the growing Undergraduate Business Major (UGBM) program. In addition, this role will play a pivotal role in expanding our support for online MBA marketing initiatives, as well as support across general marketing areas, such as search engine optimization (SEO) and social media, that support all programs.

Workplace Requirements
This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. This role requires a minimum of 3 days on campus weekly. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change. This is a one year term limited position.
Proposed Hiring Range: $55,000 - $60,000
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- One (1) year of professional marketing and/or communication experience
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Organization and creativity skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in digital marketing and content creation, preferably in the graduate business education sector.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools, and SEO principles.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Develops the communication and brand strategy for individual programs
- Writes, designs and coordinates production of communication and marketing materials.
- Recommends integrated marketing plans / programs and strategies to meet business objectives
- Guides event planning and execution as needed to support marketing objectives
- Assists in vendor management on specific projects
- Conducts market research and analysis used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targeting
- Assesses market opportunities and track market trends
- Recommends marketing improvements based on findings
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for the new Undergraduate Business Major (UGBM) program.
- Take on an increased role in supporting online MBA marketing projects, collaborating closely with specialty programs team to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
- Support other degree program marketing initiatives as needed.
- Create compelling content for various digital platforms, including website, social media, email campaigns and blogs to engage target audiences and drive enrollment.
- Implement SEO tactics to enhance visibility and ranking on search engines, continuously optimizing content for maximum impact.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Stay updated on marketing trends and industry best practices, integrating innovative approaches into marketing campaigns.
