Assistant Professor, Physical Chemistry

Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of physical chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority will be given to applications received by January 22, 2024.
This position carries responsibilities for teaching, scholarship and service. Teaching assignments are based on qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department. Teaching responsibilities involve undergraduate general chemistry and physical chemistry courses (lecture and laboratory) and courses in any sub-discipline of chemistry for which the candidate is qualified. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research in physical chemistry, preferably in experimental physical chemistry.
Preference will be given to candidates with research interests that complement the existing strengths of the department.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
