Job Description
The Humanities Department within the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) seeks a full-time Visiting Lecturer of English (a one-year, non-tenure track position) to begin Fall 2024. TAMIU is a growing university of over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant bilingual and bicultural city with a population of about 250,000. For more information, visit www.tamiu.edu. Primary duties will include teaching 15 semester credit hours per semester, the equivalent of five courses in composition. Courses will be in the First Year Writing Program (ENGL 1301, 1302, and 2311). This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a Master's degree in English or a related discipline. We desire candidates who have prior experience teaching writing.
