We are currently seeking to fill our Assistant/Associate Professor - Internal Medicine/Acute position at the Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

POSITION SUMMARY
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy (PCOM-SOP) is dedicated to developing leaders in pharmacy through an engaging and immersive learning environment supported by academic departments holding a commitment to innovative research, teaching, and professional and community service.
The PCOM-SOP invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice with a specialized practice area in Internal Medicine. The primary role of this position will be focused on experiential components of the pharmacy program and didactic teaching of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program and developing a successful clinical practice in inpatient Internal Medicine. Additional responsibilities include service to the practice site, institution, and contributions to research and scholarship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain a clinical practice site to provide patient care, as well as a location to act as a Preceptor for students and residents.
• Provide didactic, laboratory, and small group teaching as well as, course coordination as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
• Serve as a mentor, advocate and adviser to students and peer faculty members to guide their scholarly development and career aspirations.
• Conduct scholarly activities within the department and school.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
• PharmD - Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy (required).
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Residency or Fellowship, or equivalent experience in the specialty area (required).
• Active Georgia pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure within 60 days of hire (required).
Desired Qualification
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification (BCPS)
The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
