Job Summary:

The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) Instructional Designer will work within the school's Teaching & Learning Unit with faculty and instructional staff to design and support existing and future online, hybrid, and fully in-person undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning programs that are accessible, engaging, innovative and compliant with campus and school policies and quality standards. The instructional design role also includes consulting with faculty and instructional staff on pedagogical best practices and contributing to professional development opportunities. The successful candidate will promote excellence in teaching and student experience through well-designed courses and data-informed improvements. The WSB instructional designer will engage with faculty, teaching assistants, staff, and colleagues across campus.

Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications:

Required:
- Two or more years of post-degree experience in educational settings.
- Experience in curriculum design and development using a learning management system (Canvas, Blackboard, Google Classroom, etc.).
- Experience in curriculum delivery (e.g. classroom instruction, online teaching, professional development training).
- Exemplary written communication skills

Preferred:
- Working expertise with Microsoft Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Collaboration Software (MS Teams, Zoom, Google Drive, Box)
- Proficiency in Canvas Learning Management System
- Experience in collaborating with other professionals in the design, development, and delivery of a curriculum or learning experience in a higher education setting
- Proven ability to work in teams, bringing an enthusiastic and professional attitude that enhances the morale of others in the work and learning environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to meet all deadlines with high-quality work.

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
