Williams College, a member of the Division III NESCAC Conference, is excited to announce an opening for a new Assistant Baseball Coach. Candidates with Pitching Coach experience are encouraged to apply. This 10-month, regular position is eligible for full benefits, a full-board meal plan, and tuition reimbursement.
Williams Baseball has 3 NCAA Tournament appearances, 2 NESCAC Championships, and 7 Little Three Titles since 1995. The Ephs have produced 3 All-Americans, and were involved in the first-ever intercollegiate baseball game back in 1859.
This coach will support the mission of the college to provide a nurturing educational environment. Primary Responsibilities:
The following listing of primary job responsibilities indicates the general nature and level of work required in this job. This is not designed to be a comprehensive listing of all the activities, duties, or responsibilities that may be required in this job.
- Coordinate assigned position drills, meetings, etc.
- Attend all practices and games during the season
- Practice planning and facilitation
- Contest preparation (scouting/film breakdowns)
- Travel planning and facilitation
- Individual mentorship and meetings with
student-athletes
- Recruiting support: correspondence, talent evaluation,
on-campus visits
- Administrative office duties
- Adherence to all rules and regulations of the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and New England
Small School Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with collegiate bBaseball
playing and/or coaching experience required. Pitching experience
preferred
- Experience with scouting/film breakdown preferred
- Experience or ability to recruit diverse, quality
student-athletes in an academically rigorous environment
- Ability to engage with college students and further a passion
for baseball
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with rules and regulations regarding Baseball in
the NCAA, Division II, and the NESCAC
