Also, the faculty member is expected to log into the course Moodle shell twice a week and comment on student work. Fielding operates on a three-term year (January-April, May-August, September-December). Associate faculty usually teach 1-3courses per year total depending on University and Program needs.
Associate Faculty design online courses, including creating online content in the University’s Learning Management System (Moodle), selecting course materials, and facilitating weekly 1-hour synchronous classes (live lecture/discussion) via video conference. Synchronous classes are generally taught on weeknights after 4 pm Pacific time. However, faculty do have some flexibility on class day and meeting times. Associate faculty members should be present in their online courses (in Moodle) at least twice a week. Associate faculty develop assignments to ensure achievement of course learning outcomes and provide timely and substantive formative feedback on assignments to guide students in their learning.

Positions will start to be filled for the September term.
