Job Summary:
Provide assistance to community, students, and faculty in various computer lab(s).
Essential Functions:
Include but not limited to the following:
- Opening/closing and securing computer lab area(s) during operating hours
- Perform simple hardware and peripheral troubleshooting
- Contact MCC -IT HelpDesk to request assistance, maintenance or troubleshooting of hardware (computer, printer etc.) and/or software.
- Provide responsive customer service and maintain professionalism when assisting and facilitating learning for end users
- Communicate clearly and effectively with end users
- Documenting and forwarding questions and/or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Assist with program communication pieces, as needed
- Maintain computer lab e-mails, mail distribution and printer/copier machine(s) (e.g. fill paper trays, clear paper jams, replenish toner, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of all assigned equipment, supplies, software, and hardware
- Maintain a clean (food/drink-free) quiet work area
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Associate’s degree in a computer related field (Preferred)
- One (1) year directly related work experience (Preferred)
