Job Description:
MMR Strategy Group (MMR) is seeking a Vice President (VP) for consumer survey research. The successful candidate must have a completed PhD, academic experience as a professor, and professional work experience in survey research, consulting, or marketing. Candidates must either live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to travel to Los Angeles for 3-5 days at least once per month. 

The VP will design surveys, analyze data, manage research projects, write reports, lead client communications, and teshttp://jobs@mmrstrategy.comtify in court regarding surveys conducted for litigation.  Success in this position requires survey research expertise, keen attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Design surveys and experiments.
  • Analyze data using R, SPSS, Excel, or other statistical software.
  • Write reports and consult with clients regarding research implications for consumer behavior, marketing, and strategy.
  • Provide expert witness testimony in depositions and trials.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a PhD in marketing, business, sensory science, or a research-based social science, such as psychology, communications, or political science.
  • Must have academic experience as a professor.
  • Must have professional experience (outside of academia) in survey research, marketing, consumer psychology, and/or sensory science.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience using R, SPSS, Excel, or other statistical software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Attention to detail, including the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Experience programming questionnaires in Qualtrics or other survey programming software is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.  MMR does not sponsor visas.
  • Live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to travel to Los Angeles at least once per month.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation and title will depend on the candidate’s experience and abilities.  MMR also offers profit-sharing and pension plans, as well as a full benefits package.
