Job Summary
The Phi Theta Kappa Coordinator helps maintain the relationship between the local chapter and the international honor society. This position maintains the calendar and aids the advisors and chapter officers in coordinating meetings, travel, fellowship, and service events as well as inductions. This coordinator is a detailed individual who arranges the college paperwork and budget issues this student organization demands. The coordinator is available during office hours to provide often the student’s first interaction with Phi Theta Kappa and effectively communicates with all constituents in an upbeat and positive manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Service
- Greets prospective students and provides information about Phi Theta Kappa.
- Maintains office and induction supplies.
- Facilitates the administrative paperwork and data for the chapter and membership, creates a monthly report, and generates annual reports for national headquarters.
- Plans and coordinates inductions and other events for students, advisors, and the community.
- Arranges travel, catering, room reservations.
- Ensures that the chapter participates in applicable fellowship and campus events.
- Serves as liaison between Phi Theta Kappa national and regional headquarters and chapter advisors and student members.
- Provides direction and leadership in the development, implementation, coordination, assessment, and day-to-day function of the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter.
- Assists members, officers, and advisors with policies and procedures as well as training.
- Associate Degree
- One (1) year of customer service experience
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
- Normal office working conditions. The employee is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
