Summary of Job Duties:Supervise students in the clinical and/or simulation setting.
Maintain attendance and records as directed.
Document successful and unsuccessful performance in the clinical/simulation situation.
Assist in the evaluation process and grading of student performance.
Attend faculty meetings as determined by the Program Director and/or Program Chair.
Attend advisory committee meetings as scheduled by the ARNEC institution that the faculty is a member.
Maintain working knowledge in the teaching and nursing field by attendance in workshops.
Participate in the evaluation process of the nursing program.
Adhere to ARNEC Program Guide, Student Guide and Syllabi for all ARNEC students.
Adhere to the individual ARNEC member institutional policies where the clinical faculty member is employed.
Other job duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Program Chair.

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through physical demonstrations.

  • Able to travel to all clinical sites and work the assigned number of clinical hours.

  • Knowledgeable of the rules, regulations, principles, and policies in all fields of nursing.

  • Able to move about freely.

  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize work



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Holds a valid, unencumbered Arkansas Registered Nursing License

  • Earned Associate Degree in Nursing.

  • Minimum of one year of clinical nurse experience.



Job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Chancellor.
