Job Description

Activities related to college teaching and learning in the studio arts field, including but not limited to the duties listed below:

• Instructional planning, teaching, learning, and evaluating students in the classroom.
  
  
• Assessment of student performance.
  
  
• Student retention and advising.
  
  
• Lab/classroom climate maintenance.
  
  
• Maintenance of professional skills and credentials.
  
  
• Communicate and work closely with the department to maintain rigor, enhance curriculum, assess program outcomes and students' success.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree with a major in fine arts, OR
  
  
• Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in art.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.
  
  
• Dedication to teaching and student learning providing quality education emphasizing college level standards.
  
  
• Commitment to studying, analyzing, and implementing learning strategies that will help students reach their education goals.
  
  
• Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles.
  
  
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  
  
• Knowledge and experience in the use of instructional technology.
  
  
• Demonstrate high level of cultural competency and ability to building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with CLC’s Culture of Caring environment.
