Job Description

Pine Technical and Community College seeks a Nursing, AD Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or
  
  
• Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education
  
  

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
  
  
• As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.
  
  

RECENCY REQUIREMENT:

• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  
  

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.
  
  
• Other Requirement: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

· Nursing education focus

· Experience integrating simulation-based learning technologies into curriculum

· Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year college

· Prior on-line experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management system

· Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvement

· Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities

· Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers

· Experience in curriculum development at the professional nursing level

· Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Other Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
