Job Description
This position provides overall leadership, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of campus strategic recruitment/outreach plans, testing center operations, new student transition operations, student reentry initiatives and support, and new student application processing and procedures. The Director provides direct supervision and ensures college goals and work plans are met by each individual within these workgroups and within the overall department. The position serves as the supervisor and provides strategic oversight, leadership, and work direction for two Assistant Directors (Assistant Director of Admissions, and the Assistant Director of Testing). In addition, the position provides direct leadership, oversight, and work direction to Admissions Recruiters, Testing Technicians, a Sr. Admissions & Application Processor, and a New Student Transitions Coordinator. The Director serves as the Admissions CRM (Salesforce) subject matter expert ( SME), directing daily oversight, maintenance, and reporting. The position is tasked with building strategic partnerships throughout the community including with high schools and community organizations for internal and external events/recruiting initiatives. The Director collaborates with various college-wide key stakeholders to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for prospective students, matriculating students, and students reentering the college. This position works directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backg rounds and fully supports the College’s commitment to equity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or related field or equivalent
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience and leadership development
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in admissions, recruitment, and/or outreach
- Knowledge of successful college transition strategies
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement the development of activities that promote Hennepin Technical College
- Demonstrated experience in project/program coordination and/or management, and data analysis
- Ability to collaborate and establish a positive rapport with future students, current students, faculty, staff and the community-at-large
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Independent and strong ability to effectively and creatively solve complex problems
- Formative and summative program evaluation skills
- Master’s degree in education, business, or related field or equivalent
- Five years of experience in admissions, recruitment, and/or outreach at a college or university
- Experience in implementing strategic enrollment management goals
- Experience working with students from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion
- Demonstrated experience working with international students and other students originating from outside of the United States
- Experience within a multi-campus institution
- Knowledge of ISRS, Workday, CRM/CMS systems, ImageNow, and/or DARS
