Description of primary duties and responsibilities:

Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:


The primary function of Enrollment Management is to support and enhance the total educational experience of Fayetteville State University students through a commitment to quality service that is responsive to student needs. Enrollment Management seeks to attract and enroll a highly diverse class of new and continuing students with outstanding ability and potential and subsequently to improve student retention and graduation which commensurate with the goals of FSU . The IT Business Intelligence & Data Analyst II will serve as university administrator for several student services projects and assistant the Assistant Vice Chancellor who serves in the Office of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

Primary Purpose of the Position:


This primary purpose of the IT Business Intelligence & Data Analyst II of Enrollment Management Data and Analytics serves as the primary student data administrator and provides leadership, strategy and oversight of data administration and analytics across the Division of Enrollment Management which includes, but is not limited to, Undergraduate Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, and Registration and Records. This role collaborates with the key data stewards to ensure the needs of the Fayetteville State community for student data are met.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, must be received from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • 5-6 years working experience in a student services environment.
  • Possess highest level of integrity, exemplary oral and written communication skills and preferably experience in comparable setting. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and racial/ethnic backgrounds of university college students, faculty, staff and the community. Must be proficient in using MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook e-mail and calendar, Access), Internet Explorer, Banner, AdmissionPros, Astra Scheduling, Nortel telephone networks, copiers, printers, shredders, and fax machines.
