Position Title
Human Resources Clerk

Overview

Assist with the maintenance and general support of the HRIS and BDMS systems. Assist with other Human Resource clerical functions.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform data entry into the HRIS system of employment related documents, including but not limited to new hire paperwork, compensation letters, personnel action forms, background checks, etc. Maintain the accuracy of the data within the system. Follow up with data source provider to collect the necessary information to complete data entry tasks. Assist with data audit related to HR system of records.
  • Scan and index all employment related documents into the electronic filing system. This includes sorting and assigning the proper document types to each document to ensure it is properly classified.
  • Review employee new hires and change data paperwork to determine if all information has been provided and accurate. Such actions involve employee demographics, organizational information, compensation, benefits, and employment status.
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed when the Human Resources Assistant is not available. Such duties include but are not limited to answering the phone, greeting visitors, and responding to or assisting the employees/visitors with their needs.
  • Assist with testing system upgrades and process improvement analysis and documentation. Perform other administrative office duties such as mailing, faxing, copying, and filing as assigned.
Marginal Duties:
  • Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of experience in an office setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with an HRIS system, preferably Banner.
  • Experience scanning and indexing to electronic files.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
