Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Director of Nursing Student Support Services. This position manages the Nursing Student Success Center. This includes managing nursing student course assistants, success coaching, early alert, orientations, and other support programs for nursing students. The position also works closely with faculty and staff on the implementation of special events that take place throughout the year as well as special projects, policy implementation, and nursing educational product support such as ATI. The position does manage a budget, and works closely with the Assistant Dean of Student Success & Administration on special needs to enhance the experience of all School of Nursing (SON) constituents.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage nursing peer support program.
- Oversee hiring and supervision of all staff and student workers within the Nursing Student Success Center.
- Oversee nursing coaching program and proactive early alert.
- Work collaboratively and play leading roles in various events: orientations, pinning ceremonies, other events as needed.
- Provide support for students and faculty, staff for ATI.
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and committees on special projects. for the improvement of the SON.
- Implement policy and initiatives as needed.
- Provide one on one and group support to students.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- One (1) or more years of full-time higher education administrative/student support experience.
- Excellent communication ability - written and oral both interpersonally and in public.
- Outstanding organizational skills - be able to manage multiple ongoing projects, programs, employees, and student situations.
- Ability to use computer software products such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as learn other software programs as needed
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Salary & Benefits
Budgeted salary for this position is $74,241.00. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
