Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Housing Services Coordinator in the Department of University Housing.
The Housing Services Coordinator will serve as an entry-level live in professional working within the Housing Services Team to manage community desk operations and provide service excellence that fulfills the goals and mission of University Housing. The safety and security protocols necessary in managing keys and access control remain a critical priority in supervising, training, and holding accountable approximately 100 student employees. Leading up to and during the summer terms, the Housing Services Coordinator supports overnight summer programs (camps, conferences, and orientations). The Housing Services Coordinator participates in department and university-wide initiatives and serves in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Student Services Program Coordinator II (CB70/61123281), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $38,985.00 (minimum) - $55,559.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages desk operations in providing exceptional, frontline, customer service to all constituents.
Monitors and enforces key and access control safety and security protocols.
Supervises, trains, evaluates, and supports student staff.
Serves on a 24/7 administrator on call and supports staff rotation responding to self-harm, title IX, and other behavioral and facilities related concerns.
Schedule student staff and supports summer program operations (camps, conferences, and orientations.)
Qualifications
- Required : A Master’s degree and experience responding to behavioral issues with strong leadership and administrative skills.
- Preferred: Professional experience in a university or college student housing setting, including live-in/live-on duties as well as crisis response. Prior direct supervision of student para-professional staff, key/access control and customer service desk experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Able to demonstrate and train others in core principles of quality customer service. Able to critically assess, identify, and mitigate breaches in key and access control safety and security protocols. Familiarity with residential facilities and occupancy. Competence in primary computer applications, database management, and attention to detail in administrative responsibilities.
