Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide instruction for Introduction to Business (BUS-100) that serves students in the Business Administration degrees and certificate programs. This serves as the gateway course for most business programs. Comprehensive instruction includes methodologies for students developing conceptual understanding, applying critical thinking, and providing a foundation for further study at CCCC and four-year universities.

COMPENSATION : Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale; part-time, non-benefited MCCC Unit position.

- Select and develop appropriate materials for class use to fulfill course learning outcomes.
- Track and assess student progress.
- Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field (including Education).
- Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
- Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
- Experience in the business field.
- Ability to create a classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
- Skill in using technology to support the writing, teaching, and learning processes.
- Demonstrated collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College-level teaching experience.
- Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
- Skill using MOODLE to support student learning.
- Skilled user of PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Willing to participate in future professional development in the effective use of instructional technologies in both in person, HyFlex and distance learning environments.
