Salary Range:
Pay rate is between is $10,696 and $11,361 per standard 3 unit course, based on the number of years of teaching experience at the university level.
Purpose:
Purpose
The Department of Education at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit Catholic institution, seeks to hire a Lecturer/Coordinator in its Education Leadership program and supporting leadership development specifically in the area of inclusive education. The responsibilities of the Lecturer position will be equal to a teaching load of up to nine courses over four academic quarters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, EdD, or similar degree preferred, MA considered) in school administration, education, and/or educational leadership
- Five years of teaching or leadership experience
- Five or more years of leadership in the areas of special education and inclusive education, broadly. In particular, we are seeking a candidate who will support curriculum growth for area leaders as they seek to deepen and expand their efforts in inclusive education, and to support our teacher education faculty as they deepen their new dual credential model in teacher education.
- Experience in a higher education setting
- Commitment to social justice and equity education
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Teaching:
Teach multiple courses in the Educational Leadership program. Specifically, this faculty member will be asked to teach the following courses to students in the MA and/or EdD in programs: Instructional Leadership, Trauma Informed Leadership, and Leading People and Organizations. As such, the individual should have deep experience in instructional leadership, school and district leadership, human resource and employee management in schools, and a deep understanding of trauma and how that understanding should shape school and instructional leadership.
Administrative Service
The individual in this position will also engage in the teaching and development of leaders specifically in the area of inclusive education, supporting professional outreach and professional development efforts outlined in the Warmenhoven Inclusive Education grant. This will include leading a team for coaching and development of educational leaders in their inclusive education efforts across the region.
Student & Development:

MA required, EdD or PhD in relevant area preferred.
