Primary Duties:
Omni is currently seeking adjunct instructors for integrative studies courses as a part of programming for the Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree, Business Fundamentals, and Leadership Undergraduate Certificate programs through Omni. Courses include Concepts in Learning Integration (BAS 301), Person and Profession in a Global Environment (INT 331), Collaborative Communication (INT 312), Design Thinking to Meet Real World Needs (INT 323), and Leadership for Social Change (INT 341). Instructors will provide course content in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions occurring at our regional site at Southwestern Michigan College.
We are seeking separate applicants for each regional site. Adjunct instructors for Omni will report to the Assistant Director of Faculty for the Southwest Michigan Region located in our Battle Creek office.
Additional training or certification is required to teach online or hybrid designated courses. Training or certification will need to be completed prior to the start of the semester.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Master’s degree in a relevant humanities or social science
field, including, but not limited to Social Geography,
Communications, English Literature, Anthropology, Women’s Studies,
Ethnic Studies, or other related fields.
- 3+ years of related field/work experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, such as the
ability to interact with others with respect and empathy.
- Specifically for INT 323: Demonstrated project experience
utilizing design thinking principles.
- Demonstrated success in delivering instruction in an
online/hybrid format.
- Specifically for INT 331: Degree or combined experience in
organizational development, human resources, management, or social
sciences strongly preferred.
