The Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Sciences at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Associate Adjunct Professor specializing in Public Health.

This is a part-time position beginning in August 2023 and continuing through May 2024. The position may be renewed in subsequent years for a part-time, nine-month assignment. Associate Adjuncts teach 15-21 credit hours during the academic year. Candidates with related certifications, an outstanding teaching record, and a desire to mentor young adults are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Teaches beginning through advanced courses in Public Health specializing in general content, health equity, or health education at the undergraduate level and/or graduate level

May advise students and supervise public health interns

Potential course responsibilities: Theory of Health Behavior, Introduction to Public Health Research Methods, Current Topics in Public Health, Sexuality & Human Health, Stress Management & Human Health, Public Health Seminar (MPH), and other program-related areas

Qualifications

Associate Adjunct of Kinesiology, Health & Sport Sciences

Master of Public Health or related Master's degree required

Relevant experience and teaching experience preferred

Areas of expertise in Applied Public Health content preferred
