Job Summary:

Teach courses in the business management curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Requires 27 graduate hours in Business;
  • OR a Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Proficiency in the use of computer technology as it relates to business practices and the delivery of course content is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some teaching experience at the college level preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Requires the ability to work with staff and students. Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards.

Essential Duties:

1. Act as a team member of the Business Department.
2. Communicate the objectives of each course taught, grade according to those objectives, and report student progress toward those goals.
3. Work effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interact with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team.
4. Establish and maintain opportunities for reasonable out-of-class contact with students.
5. Prepare course descriptions, outlines, and other material related to courses taught.
6. Establish and maintain a class roll, and teach in conformance with approved course outlines.
7. Participate in Student Appraisal of Classroom Learning.

Salary and Compensation Information:
Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being “rolled” once per term.

• You can view the 24/25 AY Part-Time Salary Schedule document at this link. Table 1 illustrates the cost per credit for each step on the pay scale. Table 2 illustrates the compensation per hour for meetings, trainings, advising, curriculum development, or other related work.

As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.
