Program Coordinator I

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
- Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
- Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
- Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
- Maintaining program calendars and schedules
- May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
- Experience:
- Program development and implementation in an academic environment;
- Using centralized computer systems (such as financial) while completing administrative tasks
- Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
- Grant writing and compliance
- Tribal cultural protocols
- Native American education policies
- Regional Tribal infrastructure, cultures, and federal and
Tribal sovereignty issues
