Instructor of Library Research (Outreach and Engagement Librarian)

McDermott Library at the United States Air Force Academy invites applications for an Instructor of Library Research (Outreach and Engagement). The primary responsibilities of the Outreach and Engagement Librarian are to coordinate targeted programs and information literacy instruction for first year students, lead marketing and outreach efforts for McDermott Library, and provide research assistance to the USAFA community. Responsibilities also include leading instructional design for Research Services, collaboration with academic departments, research and learning centers at the Academy, and participation in library and institutional wide committees. This librarian is a member of the Research Services team and reports to the Assistant Director of Public Services.  The United States Air Force Academy, located just north of Colorado Springs, Colorado, near the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, is an undergraduate institution of approximately 4,000 cadets whose mission is to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character, motivated to lead the US Air Force and US Space Force in service to our Nation.
