Summary of Job Duties:•tProvide accommodations and modifications to traditional coursework in order to make the learning accessible to each student
•tAssist traditional chef instructors with hands-on activities involving 3D students
•tProvide homework help and reminders as necessary
•tPromote the program and recruit student mentors
•tAssist with maintaining appropriate relationships with the licensing bodies
•tMaintain appropriate working relationships with traditional instructors
•tAttend faculty development seminars
•tAssist with periodic program reviews
•tAssist with maintaining accreditations
•tRepresent the 3D Program on various assigned committees
•tAssist with UA-PTC, CAHMI Special Events
•tEngage in the ongoing processes and activities necessary for evaluation and professional development of faculty
•tPromote the goals of the school and the program both internally and externally.
•tAssist with career placement services
•tAssist the Director and Associate Dean in all ways necessary to grow and maintain the integrity of the program
•tPromote the mission of University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College
•tOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Associate’s degree from an a regionally-accredited institution
  • Commitment to the mission of the comprehensive two-year college and its role in total community development
  • Excellent organizational, computer and communications skills
  • Understanding and commitment to equal access/equal opportunity
  • 2 years of Culinary, Baking and/or Hospitality experience
  • 2 years of experience working with Special Education students


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing collaborative learning and student-driven curricula, as well as social interdependence approaches to learning
  • 5 years of experience working with Special Education students
  • Experience working in an Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Program
  • Teaching certificate for State of Arkansas

$35,000
