PURPOSE
The Delivery Specialist III, under supervision, supervises and trains delivery specialists; assists in sorting duties in the central mail room; oversees and executes delivering and collecting mail throughout campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Area 1: Operational
Percent Effort: 50%
- Supervises and assists with collecting, sorting, preparing, and
distributing office products, parcels, mail, intercampus mail, and
some custodial products to campus customers.
- Receive, scan, sort, bundle, pack, load and deliver
mail.
- Prepare high volume mail and operates meter
equipment.
Functional Area 2: Administrative
Percent Effort: 25%
- Deliver accountable mail including receipt reconciliation and
primary delivery.
- Provide customer service at the service window and on-campus,
including cash handling responsibilities.
Functional Area 3: Other
Percent Effort: 25%
- Maintain golf carts and all service records related to
maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of related experience in a mail-room or delivery
service environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Ability to work well individually and as a team.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and prioritize work
assignments and manage time effectively.
- Ability to operate mail processing equipment.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a regular
basis.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of
time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience in a mail-room or delivery
service environment.
SALARY $16.50 Hourly ($34,320 Annually approx.)
