Intern/Aide

Summary

The student aide will work with the team to conduct various laboratory duties such as assisting in making stock solutions and buffers for general lab use. The aide will assist in keeping an electronic record of all experiments performed in the laboratory and will learn to analyze images acquired from both phase contrast and standard microCT imaging.

Job Purpose

Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.

Job Duties

• Completes Phase Contrast microCT training in the OiVM Core at BCM.
• Receives in person training on making stock solutions and buffers.
• Attends weekly lab meetings.
• Meets three times a week with supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
