The HR Specialist position will be part of our Human Resources Talent team by partnering to facilitate vital HR employment functions.
The HR Specialist will provide day-to-day, professional Human Resource services to our university staff, faculty, and students. The Human Resources Specialist will focus on providing high performance, high caring, and purpose driven services for a diverse workforce to achieve the institution's vision, mission, values and strategic direction.
The HR Specialist will strategically collaborate with the Human Resource Talent Acquisition and Recruitment department in its efforts to support, and partner with, the varied UNCA departments as assigned by the Talent Manager.

- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the university.
- Direct employees with benefits and pay related inquiries.
- Manage HR related employment documentation, such as offers, contracts and handbooks. Stay current on HR trends and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate within HR/LOD team to create efficient, consistent HR solutions and processes.
