Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The candidate will be expected to teach substantive courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level, maintain a research agenda, mentor students, and participate in active service to the department.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, or a closely related academic field.
Experience Required for the Position
The area of specialization is open. We encourage individuals to apply who are interested in unique aspects of victimization (e.g., vulnerable, and underserved populations, immigration victimization, victimization of the elderly and people with disabilities, & the connection between victimization and offending) as well as those who have experience working in the field of victim services.
Other Requirements for the Position
The successful candidate will contribute to the Department of Victim Studies undergraduate and graduate educational missions and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, research as well as service.
