Position Primary Purpose and General Duties: The Associate Director, Student Conduct & Academic Integrity plays an integral role in assisting the Director of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity to create an atmosphere that encourages personal, social, and emotional growth of our students by helping them understand how their actions affect others, developing their ethical decision making skills, and promoting a positive culture of integrity and accountability.
  • Supervision of two full-time Coordinators.

  • Assist with oversight and daily operations and workflow of the student conduct process.

  • Fostering positive relationships with constituents and other university offices.

  • Conducting advocacy, education, and outreach with constituents and other university offices.

  • Adjudicating a caseload of alleged violations of university policy.

  • Case management with SCAI

  • Responsible for collecting, maintaining and tracking statistical data of disciplinary actions.

  • Representing Student Conduct and Academic Integrity by participating in various university committees.

  • Participating in the creation and review department policy.

  • Recruiting, selecting, and training volunteers and support staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Hiring Standards:
  • Master’s degree is required or equivalent professional experience; prefer in higher education administration, counseling or related areas.

  • A minimum of three years of demonstrated experience working with university/college students or student organization conduct and/or academic integrity cases.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and public relations skills.

  • Familiarity with Maxient - Student Conduct Case Management Software

  • Experience and skills in operating computers, specifically Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so.

Preferred Hiring Standards:
  • Previous experience working in a higher education setting.

  • Experience developing and executing outreach and educational campaigns/events/programs.

  • Experience compiling and reporting statistics for university and federal compliance.

  • Experience adjudicating student disciplinary cases – individual or organization conduct and/or academic integrity.

  • Proficient with Maxient - possessing a high degree of skill with key functions of the software

  • Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a constantly changing environment.

  • Experience working at a large, urban, research institution.

  • Experience working in a culturally diverse setting.
