ATTENTION:
The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Rock County Campus seeks an instructor for three fall 2024 geography courses (Lecturer, TL020).
This will be a fixed-term appointment. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon the needs of the University, funding, staffing requirements, and external forces. For information on fixed-term contracts, please see UW System Admin Policy 1250: Job Security .
JOB DETAILS:
The instructor would be responsible for the following fall 2024 geography courses:
Physical Geography (an intro Phys Geog 5 credit Nat Sci/Lab Sci)
- GEO 125 - Physical Geography, face-2-face format with lecture and labs on M and W
- GEO 130 - Environmental Sustainability, lecture format.
- GEO-GLG 170 - Disasters, Living on the Edge, remote format, some flexibility by instructor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in geography, environment, geosciences or related field.
- Preference will be given to candidates with successful college course teaching experience.
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills
- Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse
socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a 75% position and salary is based on a full-time salary of up to $44,667. At this rate the instructor is qualified to receive health and retirement benefits.

CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT:
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position.
