Facility Operations Assistant 1; SG-6

ASSIGNMENT:

Convocation, Athletic, and Recreation Center (CARC); 40 hrs/week; various shifts

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Position to work in Athletics Complex.
  • Positions in this class also perform routine cleaning tasks as well as, repair and maintenance of roadways, grounds, landscape, and ice rink maintenance on a variety of different work shifts.
  • Preference in appointment will be given to individuals on redeployment, transfer, preferred, reemployment or placement lists for Facility Operations Assistant 1.
  • Position performs routine maintenance and and laboring duties, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Per Classification Standards.
  • Must have one year of experience in the operation of tractors, mowers, and other equipment.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License Class D minimum.

The best qualified candidates will be invited for a personal interview.

The College was originally chartered in 1906 as the first postsecondary, two-year college in New York. In 1987, the State University of New York’s Board of Trustees authorized the college's present designation as State University of New York College of Technology at Canton, more commonly known as SUNY Canton.
