Sr Laboratory Specialist

Job Summary

The Clement lab uses cutting-edge genomic technologies to understand the bio-molecular mechanisms of disease. Specifically, we are pioneering the use of single-cell technologies and CRISPR genome editing to understand how DNA mutations give rise to cancer using human cell line models. We are looking for enthusiastic, curious, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out experiments to achieve these goals with other members of the Clement lab and as part of collaborations with other researchers at the University of Utah. Successful candidates will assist the Principal Investigator by supporting efficient laboratory operations and assisting with general lab duties. As the Clement lab also has a strong computational focus, there may be opportunities for further computational training. The applicant will join a team of scientists and trainees with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets as part of a vibrant and engaging community
