Job Summary

The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine (SFESOM) Curriculum team is seeking a highly organized administrative professional to coordinate and prioritize elements of our medical school curriculum for 1st and 2nd year medical students. The incumbent will oversee Doctoring schedules and calendars, course assignments, simulated and real patient experiences, syllabi, and exams. This position works in tandem with other program coordinators to help organize all aspects of the Doctoring program.  Finally, this person will also have increasing responsibilities working with the Skills, Community, and Professional Exploration (SCoPE) Team and the Assessment Team. 
 
Training on systems and processes will be provided.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the continued progression of Doctoring into the clinical curriculum for 1st and 2nd year medical students.
  2. Coordinate curriculum design, development, and delivery for Doctoring and SCoPE educational programs.
  3. Enter and monitor student performance data in Canvas, Tools, and other programs.
  4. Use various programs and systems to assist Doctoring Faculty, such as: Canvas, Tools, Qualtrics, YouTube, Zoom, and other programs as needed.
  5. Schedule students and faculty for various events and activities during Doctoring class time.
  6. Organize and administer objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs).
  7. Monitor program quality and effectiveness, identify areas for improvement for Doctoring Course Directors, Faculty and Deans.
  8. Assess the needs of students and faculty and adjust program structure to address those needs.
  9. Advise staff, students, and others regarding program best practices and goals.
  10. Handle special projects and create ad hoc reports as needed.
  11. Schedule meetings, lectures and other program related functions.
  12. Coordinate data compilation, statistical reports, grades and correspondence.
  13. Maintain relationship with clinical faculty (high email/phone call load).
  14. Maintain Doctoring Course Canvas Sites.
  15. Maintain Learning Community Coach Canvas Site.
  16. Enter curriculum data to fulfill accreditation requirements.
  17. Assist with faculty development sessions led by course director(s).
  18. Participate in Doctoring committees and meetings.
  19. Assist with other tasks as needed, including added responsibilities that may be assigned with SFESOM program growth.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
