Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in medical science, public health or related disciplines with proven knowledge of both biological and social sciences. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online survey tools, and good problem-solving, communication, organizational and administrative skills. They should also be self-motivated, highly committed, and able to work well both independently and in groups.
The appointee will participate in various child health-related projects. He/she will supervise a team of research staff; manage data collection and data analysis; prepare scientific publications, grant proposals and reports; provide general administrative and operational support; liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
