Commitment to Inclusive Excellence

Northern Kentucky University ( NKU ) seeks excellence by enriching its educational environment and culture through the diversity of its administration, faculty, and staff and by embracing inclusiveness, equity, and global awareness in all dimensions of its work. NKU is an Equal Opportunity/Equal Access/Affirmative Action institution. We encourage applications by members of diverse groups and by persons with a demonstrated commitment to issues of diversity and experience in achieving goals relative to inclusive excellence. Our vision is that NKU will be nationally recognized for being a student-ready, regionally engaged university that empowers diverse learners for economic and social mobility. We will do this while promoting a culture of excellence, acting with integrity, fostering a community of belonging, working with creativity and innovation, and maintaining a climate of collegiality. In your role, you will be expected to ensure that students who interact with you have a high-quality experience that supports the vision of the institution.

Purpose of Position

Who we are looking for: Do you enjoy building something new in an environment that supports innovation? Does working with a small, committed team to find solutions to persistent and consistent societal challenges excite you? Are you interested in working alongside emergent leaders who are curious, hardworking, and quick to apply their learning to their leadership practice? If this describes you, we might just have the perfect next step for your career.

Who we are: We have 15+ years of experience educating the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati region’s outstanding leaders in P-12 and higher education, community agencies, and business through our hybrid (executive model) Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership.

In the coming months, we are excited to launch an online offering of our EdD program more specifically focused on the needs of P-12 school leaders (including aspiring or current principals, superintendents, and directors of pupil personnel) and higher education leaders. The online program is asynchronous and allows learners in and beyond our region to focus on 1-2 courses per 7-week session and culminates in an action research capstone. This online offering blends the strengths of the existing hybrid program with coursework specifically tailored to the needs of educational leaders with positional authority in P-20 settings.

We’re looking for the newest member of our team to join us in August for the 2024-25 academic year.
