The Assistant Director supports the Director in overseeing day-to-day operations, represents the department on behalf of Director in their absence, and serves as Disability Resources liaison with WashU’s School of Law. The AD provides supervision to DR Coordinators and assists in the training needs of department staff, student staff, and potential graduate assistants/interns. They work directly with disabled students to identify appropriate accommodations to support their access in curricular and co-curricular activities and environments, and supports WashU faculty, staff, and administration in their provision of, and responsibility to provide, equitable access for disabled students and promote inclusive campus planning.

Disability Resources (DR) is dedicated to ensuring that disabled students have equitable access to WashU’s academic programs and campus experiences whether an undergraduate, graduate, professional, or continuing education student. DR assists students by providing guidance and determining reasonable accommodations to remove barriers to access. In addition, DR actively partners with faculty and staff across WashU to implement accommodations in their courses and programs.
