Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs (SVPAA) at Anna Maria College, the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships for Academic Affairs is responsible for providing operational support for the implementation and monitoring of the division’s strategic plan, partnerships, and special projects. The Director serves as a member of the Academic Affairs’ leadership team and provides strategic support to the SVPAA. S/he drives the completion of academic initiatives and goals, in collaboration with Deans and Directors and other members of the academic leadership team.

Core Responsibilities
  • Undertakes tasks related to the strategic initiatives and special projects of the Academic Affairs division
  • Establishes milestones, deliverables, and measurement criteria for special projects and the division’s strategic plan
  • Provides project management leadership to the Academic Affairs division
  • Collaborates with academic departments and programs to ensure that new programs, projects, and initiatives are propelled to completion
  • Supports the SVPAA in cultivating strategic partnerships for academic programs
  • Drives cross-functional initiatives for the Academic Affairs division
  • Establishes the means for communicating and promoting Academic Affairs’ projects and initiatives to appropriate stakeholders through various channels
  • Implements best practices in project management and execution
  • Promotes a culture of assessment and continuous improvement
  • Builds relationships with deans and department chairs to ensure that relevant stakeholders are fully engaged in new initiatives and strategic planning efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
