Job Details
GVSU is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to teach the following course in the Literacy Educational Foundations and Technology Department: EDF 115 – Introduction to Education. An exploration of schooling in America.
Qualifications for EDF 115 (Introduction to Education):
- A Master’s degree in Educational Foundations, Teacher Education, or closely related field.
- At least 18 hours of master’s level coursework in history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, or politics of education, teacher education, curriculum and instruction etc.
- Knowledge of the way schools work, and the professional roles and responsibilities of educators, principles of teaching and learning, including social and cultural factors that shape learning outcomes.
- Record of successful teaching at the p-12 level.
- Record of successful teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Effective verbal, written. and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach using multimedia modes of instruction, including online and hybrid formats.
