Position Announcement

The department of English & Literature is seeking a one-year, non-tenure-track faculty member to teach four composition classes per semester through discussions, lectures, conferences, and other appropriate methods. Prepares instructional materials, such as syllabi, schedule of assignments, teaching activities, and grading rubrics. Upholds professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An earned master's degree in English or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching of English at the college/university level.
  • Online teaching experience and willingness to obtain online certification through UVU Office of Teaching and Learning.

Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful teaching of first-year composition
