...on workforce development projects alongside subject matter experts and workforce development coordinators in an a rapidly growing area that is home to a wide range of businesses and some of the world’s largest corporations.

We are looking for someone to help us think differently about how we design courses and training who can bring a fresh new creative approach.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, instructional design and management, faculty/SME consultation and support, ongoing course evaluation and revision, course and program alignment, quality assurance, and other related responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Director of Instructional Design and Support Services.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, or a related education field

  • At least two years of experience as an Instructional Designer in h igher e ducation, w orkforce, or m ilitary setting

  • Hands-on e xperience designing and building projects/training/courses within a Learning Management System for online delivery ( preferably Blackboard)

  • Experience with applying ADA guidelines and accessibility best practices in digital communications



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Instructional design experience includes certificate programs, CEUs, micro-credentials, other types of alternative development models

  • Experience with using Universal Design for Learning principles

  • Experience applying the Quality Matters rubric or other q uality a ssurance rubrics to project developments

  • Experience with project management and performance consulting



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of online course / training development

  • In-depth knowledge of current educational and distance learning technologies

  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories

  • Familiarity with Open Educational Resources (OER)

  • Knowledge and experience with intermediate HTML and troubleshooting

  • Teaching or training experience/knowledge in a formal setting, such as, but not limited to, higher education, corporate, or non-profit

  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational skills

  • Ability to analyze and integrate evolving post-secondary education trends in instructional design and educational technology

  • Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with people from diverse backgrounds and expertise

  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to new technology

  • Ability to provide faculty support and training

  • Ability to provide ongoing project evaluation and support



Salary Information:

$55,500
