Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 526853)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Mainly assist the overall management of community-related projects
- Coordinate the logistics of patient recruitment
- Handle inquiries from related parties
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis and management
- Prepare reports and manuscripts
- Assist in the supervision of junior research staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in healthcare-related or social sciences disciplines, including but not limited to pharmacy, nursing, public health, biostatistics, health economics, psychology, social work and social administration or a related field, with at least 1 year research experience.
- Experience in conducting qualitative or mixed methods studies (e.g. patient recruitment, conducting individual and/or focus group interviews, designing questionnaires for survey studies, survey validation, data collection and analysis using qualitative methods and various tools, e.g. NVivo, Quadrics), quality of life research, or economic evaluations will be an advantage
- A relevant background in local and international research related applications (e.g. grants and IRBs) and management systems will have an advantage
- A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent coordination, organization and problem-solving skills
- A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese)

What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. O ther benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
