RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and provides general and course-related library research instruction to students and faculty across all of the academic disciplines at Flagler College
- Creates, designs, implements and evaluates tutorials, videos and other media to enhance student learning with respect to library research skills, resources and services
- Provides teaching and learning advice, instruction, and professional development opportunities for library colleagues in line with the Association of College and Research Libraries’ (ACRL) Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.
- Tracks developments and trends in library pedagogical design, strategies, standards, delivery and best practices
- Collects and reports data related to reference and instruction services
- Promotes the library's role in supporting teaching, learning, and research activities
- Plans, coordinates, and implements events and programs to attract students and faculty to the library
- Collaborates with colleagues to develop and implement library-wide initiatives and programs
- Participate in the library's virtual and in person reference services
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates LibChat and Reference Consultation activities
- Participates in collection development for both print and electronic resources, recommends additions and deletions, and evaluates new products
- Performs other duties as may be required by the Director of Library Services
- Presents professional and friendly demeanor
- Develops professional relationships with library colleagues, fellow staff, faculty and students

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Library Science or a Master of Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution or obtaining a Master’s within 6 months of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of information literacy concepts and instructional design principles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with current trends and technologies in library instruction and educational technology
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders
- Familiarity with Springshare product suite, particularly LibGuides, LibCal and LibStaffer
- Proficiency in creating online learning objects and tutorials
- Knowledge of scholarly communication and open educational resources
- Experience in delivering information literacy instruction and outreach programs in an academic library setting
- Familiarity with assessment methods and tools for evaluating the effectiveness of instruction programs
