Summary of Job Duties:The Student Success Ambassador serves as the front-line liaison between students and Student Success Center academic programs. Primary duties include facilitating student access to academic support programs in the center, monitoring Online Chat, coordinating with other staff, and using appointment software. In addition, the Student Success Ambassador works with program directors and coordinators on special projects and events. The Student Success Ambassadors help maintain an effective learning environment in tutoring zones and supplemental instruction classrooms through replenishment of program supplies and light cleaning (white boards, desktops, glass) as needed.

Responsibilities:
● Greeting and directing students and staff
● Facilitating student access to academic programs
● Answering phone calls, directing callers, and recording accurate messages
● Coordinating with Ambassadors at satellite locations to assist students
● Preparing administrative and instructional materials as needed
● Assisting with Student Success Center special events
● Assisting staff as needed
● Maintaining an effective learning environment

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
  • Cumulative GPA 2.0


Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of work experience


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Blackboard
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Skilled in adapting to changing situations and problem solving


Salary Information:

$11.00 - $12.71 per hour (non-work study and work study eligible)
