Maintenance Technician (202445)
Location: McCook

Position: McCook Community College is accepting applications for a full-time maintenance technician. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing daily building maintenance, equipment maintenance, operation & use of power equipment and tools. The ideal applicant will have general construction/maintenance experience, good customer service skills and will be well-rounded in general building maintenance practices.

Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county service area in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are community campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the area. Minimum Qualifications:
Three-four year construction, equipment maintenance/repair experience, general knowledge of preventive maintenance, good communications & computer skills and valid driver’s license required. Physically able to lift 50 pounds and more. Operation of power tools in a safe manner. Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions. Ability to work by standing, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 40-feet. Other related maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC preferred but not required. Candidate should be able and willing to learn additional technical skills including expanding their computer skills. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.
