Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Position : Adjunct Lecturer - Asia Business Programs

Department : International Programs and Services (IPS)

Classification : Part-time, Non-benefit eligible

Location: Changchun, China

Modality: Ground– In-Person


Brief overview of duties:

International Programs and Services and Goodwin College of Business are currently seeking adjunct instructors

to teach courses in Marketing, Management, and Financial Literacy at our partner university Changchun Financial

College located in Changchun, China. Courses are taught over approximately a four-week timeframe with classes

taking place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (morning only), Thursday, and Friday. Courses will be taught in person in a

classroom setting. Specific weeks of instruction for these courses are flexible but must take place between

October 14, 2024 – December 15, 2024. Quality teaching and strong business working experience are the top priorities.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate-level programs: Ph.D., D.B.A., J.D. or other terminal doctoral degrees in areas such as Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing and related fields.

Undergraduate-level programs: MBA with 3+ years’ relevant industry working experience in Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics and related fields.

Experience in Learning Management Systems: Desire 2 Learn (D2L) is desired as well as an Enterprise Software System (like PeopleSoft).

Demonstrate intercultural competence and commitment to working with international students, adult learners and underserved student populations.

Experience in an international setting preferred.

Ability to fly on transpacific flights between US and Asia

Additional Information: Courses are offered on campus in our partner university at Changchun Finance College. Positions are available contingent upon enrollment, funding and departmental needs. This is a non-tenure-track, part-time, faculty position.
