Position Description

Performs Academic Advising, educational, professional, or other advanced Academic Advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Responsibilities may include assisting in the analysis of special and/or complex problems. May supervise Academic Advisors or other employees. Performance is based on individual advising effectiveness and overall program results obtained. Work is performed under standard supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Represents TTUHSC School of Health Professions to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.

  • Assist with application processing, new student onboarding, enrollment management, recruitment, marketing and student affairs daily processes and projects as needed.

  • Experience managing multiple, diverse projects simultaneously

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, organization, collaboration and flexibility.

  • Evaluate admission applications.

  • Assist with prospective student advising. Advise students concerning program prerequisites and admission requirements.

  • Compare degree requirements and contents of courses offered with those of other colleges and universities.

  • Assist in answering phones and emails and fielding questions about programs and applications.

  • Perform recruiting activities and maintain recruitment records as needed.

  • Assist with application processing and new student onboarding daily processes and projects.

  • Assist with SHP special events.

  • Maintain the ability to work well with co-workers, faculty, staff and students.
