Job Duties
The position includes teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate courses include: Physiological Psychology, Behavioral Pharmacology, Experimental Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, General Psychology, Psychology of Learning, and courses in area of specialization. Graduate courses in the Psychometrics Program include: The Biological Basis of Behavior, advanced quantitative methods, basic and intermediate statistics multivariate analysis, among others. Responsibilities also include academic advisement of students, establishing a program of research with undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the department through research, publications, and service.
Candidates will be expected to teach a minimum of 2 courses per semester during the first 2 years and pursue external research funding. Additionally, candidates will be expected to begin supervising undergraduate or graduate students during the second year of appointment.
Requested Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in Experimental, Physiological Psychology, Biopsychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field by August 2024, along with a strong program of research and training in area of specialization. Must have a minimum of two years of experience as an instructor of record teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Other Preferences for Consideration
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications with post-doctoral experiences, a record of grantsmanship.
