Type of Position: Full-time Salaried, Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $53,900 - $70,100 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Oversee the staff and student employees in the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Recruitment Department and provide strategic and tactical leadership managing new student recruitment and onboarding of students in the initial stages of the student lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:
  • First-level leadership.
  • Coordinates and leads daily team activities.
  • May spend a portion of time performing the work of those they supervise.
  • Assists with management decisions and activities.
  • Working knowledge of team function within the organization.
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of related experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provide leadership to interpret student recruitment needs and identify process improvement recommendations for admissions.
  • Responsible for achieving college-wide enrollment targets, including targets related to the conversion of students in concurrent enrollment programs, application to enrollment yield, and re-engagement/re-admit goals.
  • Oversee strategic enrollment and recruitment projects, including outreach efforts, territory management, travel approval, communication development, ownership of key initiatives, and recruiting procedures.
  • Champion the use of the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system and other department technologies and resources to provide data analytics and trends.
  • Hire, train, on-board, and provide ongoing professional development for recruitment staff.
  • Manage the process to arrange individual and large group visits, including appointments with academic and student service departments, customized tours of campus, and plan, coordinate, and execute special campus visit events.
  • Build and foster intentional internal and external connections to compel prospective students to enroll at JCCC and utilize high-performing and trusted relationships across the college to influence a reduction in barriers to enrollment.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing evaluation of a comprehensive strategic recruitment plan, in alignment with the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment Strategy, that is data-driven and designed to locate, attract, and retain students to JCCC.
  • Partner with Strategic Communication and Marketing to develop dynamic, accurate, and informative marketing collateral (websites, forms, printed materials, etc.) that support the college’s brand and ensure all materials, events, and meetings with prospective students and their families adhere to JCCC's brand standards.
  • Ensure positive relationships with high schools, community organizations, and external agencies, act as the primary JCCC contact, and conduct tailored presentations to various community groups or individuals to showcase academic programs and admission procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with key internal partners, such as admissions, counseling, financial aid, the academic branch, strategic communication and marketing, and early college programs.
  • Promote an inclusive campus environment where all students are welcomed and provide information to assist with the successful transition to college, building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
